SDI Satellite faceted instrument-bus nose — Revision B — ESTIMATED
Source identity: HIST_KIT2003_SDI_SATELLITE

This free pack preserves the original STL and STEP geometry from the expanded
Estes Nose Cone Library B. All geometry is in millimeters.

Base diameter: 33.66 mm
Exposed height including features: 111.00 mm (excludes shoulder)
Shoulder: 32.59 mm diameter x 15.14 mm long
Overall X x Y x Z: 34.40 x 34.40 x 126.14 mm
Evidence confidence: low. This is not a numerical tolerance.

These models use educated estimates, including inferred dimensions and shapes.
They are solid exterior references for CAD editing, not verified replicas or
finished hollow flight parts. No printer clearance, original hollow interiors,
electronics or recovery hardware are included. Solid CAD does not prescribe
100% slicer infill. Digital geometry checks do not validate physical fit, mass,
strength or flight suitability. Check actual tubes and print fit yourself.

Why this shape was chosen:
Original Estes SDI Satellite instructions PDF pp2/5 (printed1/4), especially step14, show a rounded reducing rear fairing, narrow neck, two faceted instrument-bus sections and a thin blunt forward probe. Reconstruct those distinct features with estimated 111 mm exposed length and simplified rounded boxes/panel rails. All section lengths, polygon approximation and shoulder fit are estimates; painted circular details and recovery eyelet omitted. This replaces the earlier unsupported pointed-fairing guess. Historical identity is supported by Brohm; dimensions and morphology beyond the cited facts are educated design estimates.
